ENG: The holiday of Maslenitsa is dedicated to the end of winter and is known since pagan times. The last day of Maslenitsa is forgiving Sunday, the day when everyone asks others for forgiveness, redeeming their sins before the lent. The traditional reply is: "Let the Lord forgive you". The holiday is accompanied by songs, dances and burning Maslenitsa's figure. Pagan and Chrisitain traditions are mixed in the holiday.
