Interesting question... It would have to be something I just couldn't replace. There are too many books that I love to base a decision on that.
I think I would grab my [hand-painted, Russian] icons of the Theotokos first and second. One is old and the other contemporary. An icon, after all is a kind of book!
There are so many books that I love -- don't think I could choose. I do think, however, that I would grab the two hand-painted icons, one old and one contemporary. They are, after all, like books, and each is unique. Since I don't write in my books, in principle they are all replaceable, although I do have emotional attachments to certain ones.
An icon is definitely a book. In cultural studies we call them cultural texts.
